Yes, you can now hire me to recruit great staff.
There’s a big difference between working and making progress.
It’s easy to fall into doing what feels productive, even when it’s not moving the needle. Take social media, for example. I can post all day for my painting business. But let’s be honest—no one’s looking to be Facebook “friends” with their painter.
We’re painting, not doing backflips off of ladders.
Still, every time I post, I feel like I’m accomplishing something.
More likely, I’m avoiding my real work. Like following up on overdue invoices and developing relationships with other small business owners who can refer us.
As Gretchen Rubin says, “Work is the most dangerous form of procrastination.”
True.
Hat Tip to Keiran M. for reminding me of this phenomenon.
Did you know you can hire me to help you recruit great staff?
